Good to know
Ages, hours, fees and tours.
What ages does Juno Childcare Academy take?
Children from 30 months to 5 years, until they start Kindergarten, in full-day or part-time care.
Is Juno Childcare Academy licensed?
Yes. Juno is licensed by Fraser Health as a group child care centre, and our manager, Miss Vish, holds a BC Early Childhood Educator certificate. Our licence is posted at the centre, and you are welcome to see it on your tour.
What are your hours and closures?
Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM. We close on weekends, BC statutory holidays, the winter break and one staff training day a year, and stay open on Easter Monday. Every date is listed on this page.
Do you take part in CCFRI?
Yes. Juno takes part in the Child Care Fee Reduction Initiative (CCFRI), so the provincial reduction comes off your monthly fee automatically. You don't need to apply for it.
Do you accept the Affordable Child Care Benefit (ACCB)?
Yes. ACCB is an income-based provincial benefit that families apply for, and it can lower your fee further on top of CCFRI. We accept it and can help you with the application.
How much does child care at Juno cost?
We share our rates in person on your tour, along with how CCFRI and ACCB apply to your family. There is no fee to tour or to check availability.
How do I book a tour?
Book one at the end of the Check availability form at junochildcare.com/join, or call (778) 288-9058. Tours are free, take about 30 minutes and run any day, evenings and weekends included, between 6:30 AM and 7:30 PM. You get a confirmation email with a calendar invite. A tour does not commit you to anything.
Does my child need to be toilet trained?
No. Toilet training isn't required, and we work with you to help your child learn.
Do children play outside?
Yes. Children play outside every day, in every season.
What program do you follow?
One early learning program that blends Montessori, Reggio Emilia, HighScope and Waldorf, guided by the BC Early Learning Framework.
